AWA ODORI 2015

AN INTENSE ASSAULT ON THE SENSES THAT YOU NEVER WANT TO END.

I could write and write and write about how good this festival is but I know that no amount of typing could ever possibly do it justice. My simple advice is that, if you ever have a chance to make your way to Tokushima in early August then you surely won't be able to do much better than wandering into this world of noise and colour. An intense display of joy, dance and delicious food is all open to explore.  The day builds and builds until eventually the night is alive with the whole city engulfed in festival spirit.

My most recent trip to Awa Odori can be read here.  If you’re ever in town for the festival then how about dropping me a message and we can dance like fools together?
